Cloudscaler workwith highlysecure private defence and government customers onmissioncritical programmes of work. This means that these positionsrequire frequent onsite presence. It also means that SC clearanceis required. Upon joining Cloudscaler we will undertake SCclearance checks so you must be eligible to pass SC clearance. Infuture DV clearance is likely to be required so theability/willingness to pass DV clearance is advantageous but notessential.

What werelooking for

We are looking forLead AWS Platform Engineers with extensive landing zone knowledgeand site reliability best practice. For us this means experience ofdesigning building and operating enterprisescale landing zoneswithin AWS. It also means you need to be able to automate the buildof complex AWS services and platforms usingTerraform.

We are thought leaders andour Lead Engineers work closely with customer teams so you need tobe opinionated about IaC structure and modularisation and theexperience and knowledge to define the technical direction andstrategy of teams and systems.

Whatyoull be doing

You will beworking closely with our customers key stakeholders leading themthrough complex cloud transformations using your experience andexpertise to deliver bestinclass AWS platforms.

  • Designing complex multitenant systemsaligned to best practice
  • Building testingpackaging deploying and operating AWS landingzones
  • Automating the build of complex AWSServices and Cloud Platforms with IaC
  • Packagingservices into AMIs Docker containers or Serverlessdeployments
  • Championing infrastructure as codeand opinionated about IaC structure andmodularisation
  • Scoping container/microservicesto design Cloud solutions
  • Utilising deploymenttechniques to enable zero downtime
  • Mitigatingsecurity risks in AWS and supporting a mature Cloud SecurityModel
