London, United Kingdom Amazon UK Services Ltd. - A10 Full time
Our operations network, known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented professional who wants to join our team as an Investigations Specialist. In this key role, you will provide investigations as a service across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), investigating theft and fraud incidents as well as policy violations and security-related incidents.

Key job responsibilities
•Own the intake, investigation, and resolution of theft and fraud investigations
•Create accurate and timely initial, interim, and final investigation reports
•Create investigations within the approved case management system in a timely manner
•Support the Investigations Manager and Senior Investigations Manager with difficult theft and fraud investigations

A day in the life
As an Investigations Specialist, you will join a team of professionals who provide investigations as a service to business customers across Amazon’s end-to-end supply chain to protect our people and prevent loss.

On a daily basis, you will investigate theft and fraud incidents, policy violations, and security-related events. To initiate an investigation, you receive an escalation or incident, either proactively or reactively. You will then assess, triage, and prioritise the nature of the incident by working out its severity, impact, scope, and scale.

During your work, you will conduct investigative actions to identify trends, patterns, and root causes with the aim of compiling all relevant information into an evidential packet. You will also seek to identify key person(s) of interest and conduct interviews, when required, to resolve your investigation.

Upon completion, you will create a final investigation report which will support the business with an actionable, meaningful, and proportionate incident resolution. Throughout, you will act as one of the principal points of contact and subject matter experts for internal and external departments (e.g., legal, human resources, operations, outside counsel) and contribute towards the overall Security and Loss Prevention goals and objectives.

During the course of your work, you may be required to travel both domestically and internationally across EMEA to support other teams and business units.

About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations.

The Investigations team is a support function to Security and Loss Prevention Field Operations with responsibility over the management, development, and conclusion of investigative activity.

Our team provides support, guidance, and direction to our customers on a broad range of investigative issues, ranging from theft of inventory, workplace incidents, and surface transportation events to complex, sophisticated fraud involving multiple bad actors, stakeholders, and marketplaces.
