Salary: £93 - £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate or September 2024
Contract Type: Full Time

About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team in Scarborough. This full-time position is available for an immediate start or a September 2024 start. The role involves supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged with their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes and support students in their learning during the absence of their regular teacher.
  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-set work to students and provide assistance where necessary.
  • Follow and uphold the school’s policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working within an educational setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage classroom behaviour and engage students in learning activities.
  • Be adaptable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
