Job summary

We would like to appoint a Psychotherapist towork in the Psychological Services in the AMH Neighbourhood Mental HealthServices (NMHS) in Worcestershire. Weare a pilot site for the Transformation Model working in the communityconsidering local need and linking with community services.

This is a Band 7 permanent post for 30hours per week, and we would consider other working hours, but not less than 15hours. We provide face to face and virtual interventions as clinicallyappropriate.

TheNMHS teams have integrated psychological pathways for individuals withmoderate/severe, severe/enduring, psychosis/bipolar and emotionally unstablepresentations. The post holder would work on the moderate/severe pathway. The post holder would applypsychotherapeutic core values in clinical practice, working with a diverseservice user group and with a range of complex mental health needs. They wouldencourage empowered service users to be active in their own recovery andencourage trauma informed care across the NMHS.

Main duties of the job

The post is integral to the NMHS, working with other psychotherapists,psychologists, and mental health professionals. They would be a valued memberof the psychological services provision within the Trust.

They would provide psychologically informed assessmentsleading to treatment plans for individuals.They would also be involved with psychotherapeutic group delivery.

They would receive both clinical supervision and linemanagement. Across the service we offera variety of supervision for evidence-based models and invest in model specificsupervision.

They would attend all necessary NMHS team meetings and beinvolved in the NMHS psychological services professional meetings.

Knowledge

Knowledge required specific to the role and clinical area Advanced theoretical and applied knowledge of psychological approaches and assessment for people with psychological problems, including specialised psychological assessments and interventions Evidence of regular continuing professional development through further professional training and experience, as required by the UKCP

Qualifications

Essential

Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge as evidenced by a Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the British Psychological Society (BPS) Eligible for registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC) Or A registered qualification in Psychotherapy in High Intensity Psychological Interventions to at least Masters level I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer

Experience

Essential

Experience of working as a highly specialist Chartered Clinical/ Counselling Psychologist/ Psychotherapist with individuals experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health difficulties of varying complexity Experience in the application of psychological knowledge within a number of different specialities Experience of specialist psychological assessment and providing a wide range of psychological interventions to adult clients presenting with the full degree of clinical severity and across a range of clinical mental health presentations, including people with complex mental health problems, severe and enduring mental illness, impulsive self-harming behaviours and personality disorders, in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients psychological care and treatment Experience of multi-agency and multi-disciplinary working Experience of group work with clients Experience of providing clinical supervision to psychologists and other professionals Experience of providing consultation to other professionals and non-professional groups Doctorate level (or equivalent) knowledge of research, design and methodology
