Planning Lead

Location: York or Bristol

Salary: Up to £75k

A bit about the job:

The role primarily provides hands-on leadership support to the Plan A Head of Delivery and the Transformation Management Office (TMO), for all aspects of end-to-end integrated Planning within a large-scale Technology transformation, as part of a multi-year, multi-vendor Strategic Transformation for UKL.

The role has responsibilities to the Head of Delivery for ensuring that all planning and support activities are completed in line with baselined plans; that any changes to plans are tracked, controlled and that the impact is fully understood.

The role will focus on analysis, reporting, dependency and risk management responsibilities to support the on-going governance, tracking and administration of all planning activities – to ensure Plan A can maintain continuity and a ‘single source of the truth’ during the execution phase of the transformation.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Strong planning leadership abilities with the ability to drive and motivate a team of project and product experts to achieve the Aviva outcomes

Knowledge of working with Strategic Partners, their platforms and their delivery methods and experience of multi-vendor delivery, building effective relationships with vendors and motivating to achieve win-win outcomes

Ability to foresee and articulate risks and put in place appropriate mitigations both to programme delivery and business ‘outcome’ risks, recognising where escalation is required

Ability to disseminate sometimes fragmented or contrary information and data to get to the root of the issue and use appropriate escalations or strategies to solve problems and/or clear blockers

Adept at use of planning tools, including MSP, JIRA and Planview

Starting salary up to £75k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
