Job summary

The London Road Surgery has an opportunity for an experienced workflow administrator to join our friendly support team, hours and times are negotiable. The post-holder will need to be hard-working and conscientious, with excellent attention to detail and be able to work comfortably in a team as well as independently. It is vital that all episodes of care received outside of the surgery are documented accurately in line with our existing processes. We use the clinical system - SystmOne.

Main duties of the job

Processing documents and assisting with post distribution in line with our processes; Undertaking a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice, including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team; Data entry and read coding of relevant patient information and medical data into the clinical system; Scanning patient information into computerised records, including medical documents, hospital records and letters, as necessary; Read-coding the information into the partnership's clinical system; Actioning tasks set by clinicians and the practice manager; Handling phone enquiries efficiently.

The London Road Surgery is a busy GP practice, currently caring for over 14,000 patients. We offer the NHS pension scheme, on site car parking and to work in a new building (built in 2017). Experienced workflow administrators, with excellent IT and typing skills; Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills; Excellent communicators able to work in a confidential and discreet manner; Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment; Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure; Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently.
