GSL Education are in search of an English Teacher to fill a post at one of our client schools in Swale, Kent.

As an English Teacher, you will help students unlock their full potential and develop a lifelong appreciation for literature and language. Whether you are an experienced English Teacher, we would love to hear from you

The school will ensure the academy achieves at least a "Good" rating from Ofsted through effective leadership and governance. The school curriculum will be rich and engaging, supported by excellent teaching and resources for all subjects. The school are committed to helping every student make good progress and close any achievement gaps. The school will focus on developing students’ character based on the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach English to secondary school students, ensuring engaging and effective lessons
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver exciting lessons that cater to all learning abilities
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and support as needed
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive learning experience
  • Support students' academic and personal growth

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience as an English Teacher (or a strong desire to start your career)
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and exam requirements
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
