Position: Science Teacher (KS3, KS4, KS5)

About the Science Department

The Science Department is a well-established, highly effective, and successful team that aims to instil students with a lifelong love of scientific processes and learning. We operate in 14 purpose-built laboratories, teaching all sciences up to KS5. A Level Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Level 3 Applied Science are all very popular options among our students. The department is characterised by passionate teachers dedicated to raising achievement and working collaboratively to provide the best teaching and learning opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality, creative lessons to KS3, KS4, and especially KS5 students.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that fosters high levels of scientific knowledge and application.
  • Student Engagement: Motivate and inspire students to develop a love for science and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a team of dedicated teachers and excellent technicians to support lesson delivery and student learning.

  • Qualifications: A well-qualified science specialist.
  • Passion: Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching science across all key stages.
  • Skills: High levels of emotional intelligence and motivation.
  • Innovation: Willingness to take measured risks to deliver an exciting curriculum.
  • Experience: Suitable for established teachers looking for a new challenge or Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking their first teaching role.
