Are you eager to make a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

GSL Education Lincoln is currently recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children who have diverse learning needs. This role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping all students reach their full potential.

Job Summary: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Work alongside teachers to support teaching and learning in the classroom.
  • Work with students on a 1:1 or small group basis to provide interventions and additional support.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, such as SEMH, ASC, MLD and ADHD.
  • Follow the school’s behaviour management policy to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.
  • Assist relevant subject teachers in managing student behaviour.

Qualifications for a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
  • A strong understanding of SEN practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous.
