Actemium Instrumentation, Control and Switchgear are looking for a Wire Person to join our team in Staverton, Gloucester. Working closely with manufacturing and engineering disciplined engineers.

The Role

To manufacture and test a range of bespoke control panels from empty enclosure; selecting components, layouts and wiring up following electrical drawings and instructions. Working safely, accurately and efficiently to tight deadlines.

To accurately and efficiently build and wire control panels following electrical drawings and instructions within specified timescales. To carry out appropriate pre-delivery inspection and testing on finished control panels both on the shop floor and at customer premises in line with approved standards and customer requirements. To maintain safe working practices and adhere to quality control procedures at all times.

The Person

Previous panel wiring/panel building experience essential. LV Switchgear, motor control principles and control panel design experience desirable. Previous experience of interpreting electrical drawings and technical instructions. Positive "can do" attitude. With good attention to detail. Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills. With the ability to flexibly and proactively manage changing priorities and work to tight timescales. Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communications skills, must be able to communicate at all levels. Able to work extended and/or unsocial hours to the full requirements of the role
