We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Second in Department who can contribute to the leadership of the Biology department and deliver high quality learning opportunities for all our students in Biology/Science. The Science department is highly successful and has a track record of delivering excellent outcomes for our pupils. A level is extremely popular and the Science department is housed in 13 recently refurbished and superbly equipped laboratories. The successful candidate would lead a Key Stage as well as take on broader responsibilities across the department which will depend on the skills and experience of the successful candidate
This is a permanent position, working full-time, offering MPS/UPS, commensurate with experience + TLR2C (£3,391).

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2024, our Trust comprises 33 geographically organised academies (17 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff.
