Assistant Development Manager

Galliford Try Investments

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Development Manager to join the team at Galliford Try within our Investments Business.

Ideally, you will based in or around the Leicester area. 

As Assistant Development Manager, you’ll be involved in delivering new business opportunities in the development arena, predominantly on large scale city centre residential developments across the UK. 

The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of Galliford Try Investment’s development activities as well as supporting in developing and implementing strategies for new investment initiatives. 

This will involve working with a team in establishing new opportunities in which we can invest, bid and secure new projects, ensuring the successful delivery of these projects and maximising the opportunities for all parts of the Group (Construction, FM and Investment).

You will also be working to manage our investments thus securing their long-term success and assisting in establishing exit strategies and in managing their disposal.

What you will be doing:

Identify, track, and develop future opportunities in Build to Rent residential sector for GT Investments. Cultivate close relationships with clients, landowners, and funding partners, understanding their needs and pressures. Manage project processes, ensuring clarity of strategy and responsibilities among all parties involved. Assist in proposal development to meet client requirements and manage risks effectively. Coordinate meetings and presentations with clients and project teams. Contribute to development appraisals and risk management strategies. Collaborate with contractors, design teams, and partners to deliver integrated solutions within project constraints. Support internal reporting and budget management procedures. Assist in the selection and appointment of project advisors and specialists. Facilitate contract negotiations from Preferred Bidder to Financial Close. Aid in the disposal of investment assets in line with strategic plans.
