Job Duties:- Deliver English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) instruction to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of UASC learners
- Assess students' language proficiency and progress regularly
- Provide additional support and guidance to students as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of the ESOL programme
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CELTA, TESOL)
- Experience in teaching ESOL to diverse student groups
- Understanding of the specific challenges faced by UASC learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field
Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESOL
Knowledge and Skills:- Knowledge of ESOL teaching methodologies and best practises
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Fluency in English and knowledge of other languages is advantageous
- Experience working with UASC or refugee populations
- Additional qualifications in Special Education or Multicultural Education
The UASC ESOL Tutor role involves working in a classroom or home setting with UASC learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
