OVERALL SUMMARY

The CASS & Regulatory oversight function is responsible for overseeing the operational regulatory reporting that is undertaken by the business including CASS, CSDR, FATCA, MiFID Transaction Reporting and HMRC / (ISA) reporting.

This role is to provide technical CASS expertise and challenge / oversight within our business lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the administration of CASS Control related activities.
  • Production of internal and external, client cash and stock reconciliations.
  • Production of non-client money cash reconciliations.
  • Production of third party custodian reconciliations.
  • Follow the reconciliation processes, ensuring that exceptions are monitored through to completion.
  • Fund required reconciliation shortfalls and client overdrawn positions.
  • Collate MI required by CASS Committee.
  • To identify and monitor operational risk in relation to day to day activities.
  • To inform Line Manager of areas of concern and issues that may arise.
  • Ensuring that risks are appropriately identified and that appropriate controls are in place and are operating effectively
  • Consistently demonstrate the Firm’s Business Principles (Client, Excellence, People & Integrity).

Regulatory responsibilities ¦ Compliance/T&C

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
