OVERALL SUMMARY
The CASS & Regulatory oversight function is responsible for overseeing the operational regulatory reporting that is undertaken by the business including CASS, CSDR, FATCA, MiFID Transaction Reporting and HMRC / (ISA) reporting.
This role is to provide technical CASS expertise and challenge / oversight within our business lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the administration of CASS Control related activities.
- Production of internal and external, client cash and stock reconciliations.
- Production of non-client money cash reconciliations.
- Production of third party custodian reconciliations.
- Follow the reconciliation processes, ensuring that exceptions are monitored through to completion.
- Fund required reconciliation shortfalls and client overdrawn positions.
- Collate MI required by CASS Committee.
- To identify and monitor operational risk in relation to day to day activities.
- To inform Line Manager of areas of concern and issues that may arise.
- Ensuring that risks are appropriately identified and that appropriate controls are in place and are operating effectively
- Consistently demonstrate the Firm’s Business Principles (Client, Excellence, People & Integrity).
Regulatory responsibilities ¦ Compliance/T&C
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.
