Job Title: Class Teacher - SEND
Location: Barking & Dagenham
Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Supply

Connex Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher for a special school located in Barking and Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate educators looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs and disabilities.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEND.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the holistic well-being of students.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the ongoing assessment and review process.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, carers, and external agencies as necessary to support student progress.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is required.
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies, interventions, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles.
