What you’ll be doing
As a Planned Surveyor you will be overseeing and managing planned programmes and project work across the East/West regions. This will be something that you can get your teeth into and you’ll enjoy seeing a successful outcome at the end.
You’ll bring with you experience and good knowledge in the management of all maintenance works contracts so you’ll know about meeting all required standards of performance, including audit, time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
You’ll produce regular reports on supplier performance ensuring that early remedial action can be taken under the contract and will be responsible for all contract management from inception through to completion.
You won’t be alone, you’ll be working with our Principal Surveyor.
About you
Your qualifications & experience - Ideally, you will have a relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building, Surveying, planning in a similar technical field or you will be able to demonstrate that you have 6 years plus of experience within this sector. You’ll have a strong working knowledge of project management techniques and be comfortable supervising multi-trade contracts from initial offer to closure. Having experience in undertaking domestic and commercial building surveys and providing advice on matters such as construction defects is key to this role.
Skills & Abilities - A strength will be your time management and you’ll be experienced in working to deadlines, whilst maintaining performance and budget targets. You’ll be a confident user of IT, particularly MS Office and be comfortable updating and working on a variety of systems.
Customer Service - Our customers will be a priority for you, so you will ensure that the highest possible quality is provided through our services, meeting the requirements of best value, performance standards and best practice, demonstrating excellent communication skills at all levels.
Communication – You’ll be a confident communicator, being able to relay complex information to contractors and customers alike with the ability to change your needs to meet the audience. You’ll be comfortable communicating verbally and in writing.
You’ll be out and about across your area so you’re going to need a full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
