Our Procurement and Contract Management team are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager . responsible for the strategic management and ownership of business-critical contracts through a structured category management approach.
The aim of the role is to work with our stakeholders to deliver a sustainable supply chain to ensure Severn Trent Water’s external expenditure is effectively managed to deliver lowest costs and highest standards.

Working from our Coventry office, the portfolio will typically contain categories which are high to medium value, risk, and criticality with an annual spend of £ million per annum.
Some of your other key accountabilities in this role will be:
Responsible for the end to end strategic management of the Mobile Plant and Equipment Category. To own and drive improvement in commercial and contract performance whilst managing risk to deliver the best possible value. Proactively lead all regulated procurement activity ensuring tendering processes deliver the best possible value outcomes including the delivery of cost savings. To identify supply chain risk and work with our supply chain and internal stakeholders to develop strategies to effectively manage and mitigate risk. To work with suppliers and stakeholders to identify and deliver value adding Opportunities and innovation. Monitor contract use and put in place actions to maximise contract complianceWHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone with a commercial background, who has a good understanding of Category Management.
Professional qualifications like CIPS are not required but may be beneficial.
