Join our Health and Safety team in our Brighton Branch covering our Brighton and Eastbourne sites. As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you'll lead initiatives, ensure compliance with legislation and create a safe working environment.
Develop and implement a comprehensive Health and Safety strategy. Manage the H&S administrator and coordinate stakeholders with a people-centric approach, emphasizing Performance and Culture. Lead the Health and Safety Forum focusing on engagement and department collaboration. Conduct risk assessments, implement controls and improvements and establish safe work systems. Investigate incidents, identifying causes and providing actionable advice Stay updated on legislation and industry standards. Complete regular site inspections/audits to ensure policy adherence and safe practices and retain records of these. Lead in-house training and provide guidance on health and safety for managers and employees. Create and provide reports on areas for continual improvement. Provide advice on specialist areas such as fire regulations, first aid, hazardous substances, machinery and more. Outline safe operational procedures, considering business hazards, and guidance on safe use and installation of machinery/equipment .What are we looking for?
