Looking for adetailoriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse / LicensedVocational Nurse to dispense prescribed medications as part of atreatment team in partnership with Physicians and NursingSupervisors. The dispensing nurse also shares the responsibility ofmaintaining dispensing equipment managing medication inventory andreporting patient treatment information.

Anideal dispensing nurse candidate works cooperatively withsupervisory counseling staff and demonstrates a nonjudgmental andaccepting attitude toward Substance Use Disorder.

Essential Duties &Responsibilities:

  • Administer daily medication to patients following programpolicy and medical protocols.
  • Use automateddispensing system(s) calibrate pump and maintain dispensingequipment
  • Produce and maintain appropriaterecords and reports as required by Company protocol Federal andState Regulations
  • Ensure compliance withsecurity standards for the distribution and storage of controlledsubstances as outlined in the Code of Federalregulations
  • Order receive and stock medicationfollowing DEA and State regulations. (If granted Power ofAttorney)
  • Provide daily assessment ofpatients
  • Assist the Nursing Supervisor inorienting new nursing staff
  • Other relatedduties as determined by the supervisor
