WHAT TO EXPECT

The Supply Chain Planning Squad is looking for a Vehicle Line Planner to be an integral part of the team. You will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of our rolling weekly, monthly and quarterly plans. Your role will be to support planning, delivery and co-ordination of specific vehicle activities with the main focus on managing sales order bank. You will get exposure to multiple departments and teams across JLR, building relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.

You will facilitate the successful creation of full year allocation plans by accurately allocating production volumes at a market and powertrain level. As well as managing market demand requests and working with the Commercial function at JLR to establish correct production requirements for all our global markets.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Plan and manage sales order bank, forecast, capacities and trim level introduction to support vehicle launch and model year run in and run out activities. Generate weekly supplier schedules based on the latest order bank data and assist in issuing the operating strategy. Drive forecast generation through analysis of order bank option take rates and populate Pipeline Ordering System with accurate and up-to-date information. Coordinate timely order submissions and order priorities with the Plant Vehicle Scheduling team. Ensuring timely order availability from markets and manage the order bank to customer lead time targets. Work collaboratively with Capacity planning team to ensure that the supply base has sufficient capacity to support demand changes, customer sales orders and future model programmes.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who is data driven and analytically minded, with experience within data tools such SQL, Tableau, Big Query, or Excel, to help consolidate information and be able to present this information to stakeholders.

Essential:

Critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills to analyse information objectively and make a reasoned judgement. Proven levels of multi-tasking with agility to complete multiple operational tasks on short and tight deadlines. Ability to flex between big picture thinking, understand and distil complex ideas and analyse data to drive strategic objectives and priorities. Have effective communication skills, able to lead cross-functional meetings and teams to improve customer experiences.
