We have seen tremendous growth in our business in recent years and with that comes the opportunity to increase our workforce, so we are seeking to recruit a Quality Specialist to work in the Quality team for Ford of Britain and Ireland, working out of the Henry Ford Academy in Daventry.

This role holds the position of Centre Co-ordinator and will be the key contact for the Awarding Bodies. The key responsibility of the Centre Co-ordinator position is the administration of the assessments carried out at the Henry Ford Academy and its regional centres in line with the requirements of the Awarding Body. The position is also responsible for carrying out observations in the areas of training delivery, content review including alignment to Ford Global Look and Style, Learner Support, New Business applications, supporting ISO9001 standardisation and reviewing training exemption requests.

Key Responsibilities

Internal quality assurance administration of all assessment documentation completed as part of Henry Ford Academy assessments across all disciplines, to meet the quality standards expected by the Awarding Bodies (City and Guilds / IMI). To conduct, record and track observations of assessors (internal and external) during assessments (yearly or half yearly) across all disciplines and provide constructive feedback when required. To organise and support the monitoring and re-approval visits by the Awarding Bodies External Quality Assurance team(s). To conduct internal and external trainer delivery reviews across all programmes and locations including the Ford Dealer Apprenticeship Program, to ensure quality of delivery is maintained and improved as appropriate across all disciplines. To support the Integration and Excellence Manager in the review of new course material (as required), helping to drive quality and standardisation across all disciplines.

About you

Minimum 3 years in technical training delivery/development environment within the automotive industry. Good standard of education, ideally with Certificate in Motor Studies and\or BTEC National Certificate in Engineering & Motor Vehicle Studies and with training delivery qualification Have current knowledge of the regulatory framework/standards and other regulatory and legislative requirements Hold a relevant Assessor qualification (D32/33, A1, TAQA equivalent) or EPA qualification with robust knowledge of assessment practice and techniques Sound IT and digital literacy skills with proven experience of working with various Microsoft packages Experience in organising and processing internal quality assurance practices; Ability to work in a flexible manner, adapt to different environments and solve problems independently Experience in engaging with External Quality Assurance activities Hold a relevant Internal Quality Assurer Qualification (D34, V1) Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form

Employment:  The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators.
