As Head of Food Tech Services, you will be directly responsible for the development, implementation and day to day service delivery and compliance of Selecta’s fresh food concepts. Working with Selecta’s suppliers, both in terms of technology and food, as well as internal stakeholders, you will optimise our current range portfolio, establishing promotional calendars and range change reviews.

Your role spans the full client journey, from ensuring that new client’s get a “Great Start”, to managing the full operational delivery, both in terms of technical response and merchandising, as well as developing the strategic model for future delivery.

This unique and exciting role will shape the future of Selecta’s food concepts, with overall responsible for ensuring the best possible client experience across over 350 locations across the UK. In this role you will lead the team in ensuring that the day-to-day service exceeds our clients’ expectations, as minimum You will effectively and efficiently achieve and promote a specified high level of service across a range of activities:-

Optimise the service level fulfilment to our clients for the Selecta Food concepts across technical ( “technical repairs and maintenance”) and operational services ( “merchandising”) achieving the required service levels driving continuous improvement and quality levels, across all elements of Selecta’s Service delivery, including but not limited to; calibration with planning for service delivery (Technical and Merchandising), day-to-day operations and management of the supply chain & warehouse operations along the entire service lifecycle – incl. defining and actively managing the service level performance.

Act as the Leader on Food concepts within Selecta, driving Service Excellence and best practice in application of Technology to boost performance.

Responsibilities

Review and improve effectiveness of the existing supply chain delivery model Review and improve visibility of our fresh food performance – both operational and commercial Review and improve our range change process – how do we keep our Fresh Food offering attractive and refreshed at site level Drive and steer the improvements on service delivery of our Fresh Food Service Constantly improve processes end-to-end with a focus on efficiency, costs and client service. Lead the operational teams on the use of business tools and on operational processes as well as the continuous development of these tools and processes. To be measured on revenue from all food concepts, gross profit for all food concepts, service delivery cost, Client profitability, food waste percentage and value. Responsible for the management of the end-to-end process for Food concept Client installations Manage the team in the day-to-day delivery of Selecta’s fresh food solutions to client sites, ensuring that all our food concepts are clean, full, working and compliant with all relevant chilled regulations. Internal lead for sign off of Client proposals/tenders and support in presentations where require Establish meeting cadence and build relationships across tech and fresh supply base including review meetings to ensure compliance to KPI’s Build robust process for trail of future tech and sign off before rollout Work to establish best practice with supply base across Tech providers Project lead for all Fresh concepts/solution related projects with both UK and Group

Requirements

Great interest in new technologies, digitisation, data analytics Entrepreneurial with a dedicated business acumen Clear historic responsibility and experience in a service improvement program, leading to significant improvement on service levels, client satisfaction, cost-to-serve reduction, etc. Affinity with international companies, matrix organisations, cross-cultural leadership, fast-paced and restructuring environments Positive and problem-solving mindset, self-starter with high level of motivation to work autonomously Hands-on, solution oriented, structured, precise, data-driven and strong analytical skills and with excellent organisational skills to manage a large number of ongoing projects and prioritise appropriately
