Hours: Full time hours per week (Part time considered)

We are looking for a Band 6 PaediatricSpeech and Language therapist, to support our team for a fixed term of 6months. To provide assessment,diagnosis and specialist, evidence-based intervention to children referred forspeech and language therapy, including providing information to parents,carers, teaching staff and other professionals.

Main duties of the job

The Responsibilities

If you are successful in yourapplication to this post, you will be expected to manage and deliver on theresponsibilities outlined below as well as those not included here, call todayto discuss further:

To manage own caseload of children across avariety of settings including mainstream and specialist provisions

To work within a multidisciplinary framework toprovide a co-ordinated approach to childrens speech, language andcommunication needs

To advise and provide clinical support to othertherapists

To seek advice and supervision where appropriate

To supervise and allocate work to TherapyAssistant Practitioners, SLT students and less experienced therapists

To jointly supervise and monitor theimplementation of specialist treatment programmes delivered by TherapyAssistant Practitioners and students and allocate tasks appropriately to themwhile retaining overall responsibility for the caseload, and for workundertaken by clinical support staff

Delivers training sessions for student SLTs,work experience students, volunteers, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, teachingstaff, other professionals, less experienced SLTs and parents and carers withthe knowledge of senior SLT staff

Contributes to the supervision and support ofless experienced SLTs
