Job Title: SEN Teacher (QTS) - Special Schools

Location: Birmingham and Surrounding Areas

Salary: £750 - £1150/ week dependent on experience

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher (QTS) to join our team and work within special schools in and around the Birmingham area. The successful candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine commitment to supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of students with SEN.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents and colleagues.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure the holistic development of students with SEN.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably within a special school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students with SEN.
