Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting special education need students? GSL Education are seeking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a local school based in Christchurch.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with individual students, offering tailored assistance with coursework, assignments, and exam preparation. The school is looking for dedicated individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of students and contributing to their academic growth.

Responsibilities:

  • provide tailored assistance, clarifying concepts and addressing specific student challenges.
  • foster rapport, boosting student comfort and encouraging help-seeking behaviour.
  • pinpoint and resolve student struggles, ensuring no one is left behind.
  • offer detailed feedback, guiding student improvement and growth.
  • mentor on study skills, time management, and career advice.
  • adapt approaches to meet diverse learning needs, promoting inclusivity

To work with GSL Education as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you should:

  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
