Steer Automotive Group is known for its high-quality automotive repair services, and as we continue to grow, we’re excited to welcome an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician to our state-of-the-art Bodyshop in Cheltenham.
About the Role:
As an MET Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on various vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. Your expertise will ensure top-quality repairs, helping our customers get back on the road quickly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment Dismantle vehicles to prepare them for panel work Perform inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostics Manage replacement part orders and inventories Reassemble vehicles with new components, restoring them to pre-accident condition Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards Communicate effectively with the team regarding repair progressAbout You:
You’re a skilled MET Technician with solid experience in accident repair. You maintain high standards, work well under pressure, and are committed to delivering outstanding results.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as an MET Technician, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles Expertise in ADAS, wheel alignment, mechanical repairs, and diagnostic tools Ability to handle workloads efficiently and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and adherence to manufacturer specifications Ability to work both independently and as part of a team A flexible, customer-focused approach Dedication to Health & Safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe workspaceIf you’re an experienced MET Technician looking for an exciting new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
