To further our mechanical capability on Infrastructure projects, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join us.

Your role will be focused in the design environment, which, while based in the UK, will involve interacting day-to-day with colleagues across our global hubs. There may also be opportunities to broaden your contribution to other areas within the MEP discipline as well as client-side or site-based roles in a variety of major infrastructure settings.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Design and specification of mechanical engineering services including heating, cooling, ventilation, and input to controls. Performing detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, IES and other industry specific software. Preparation of technical specification using NBS tools. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams particularly with the BIM team to prepare design models and drawings. Conducting thorough technical reviews of mechanical designs, calculations, and specifications ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements. Participating in project meetings, site surveys and inspections. Adhering to all quality and governance processes.

On top of that, you’ll have:

A degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field Chartered Engineer status or a similar professional qualification. Experience working in the built environment Experience in using related software including IES, Hevacomp, Navisworks, and NBS Proficiency in working with BIM software such as Revit, OpenBuildings Designer or similar Awareness and knowledge about energy reduction methods, carbon calculations and

sustainable design

Knowledge of appropriate technical standards Efficient reporting and communication skills in verbal and written form
