Description

This individual will provide expert database developmentsupport to the CONNECTIONS project during development andmaintenance activities to maintain New York States Automated ChildWelfare Information System for OCFS LDSS and VoluntaryAgencies.

Duties

  • Participating in design sessions to help withdatabase design.
  • Serving as the internal TeamDBA for CONNECTIONS application.
  • Serving aslead database developer for CONNECTIONS developing complex databasepackages and procedures to feed data to WCF Service Layer viaODP.NET.
  • Serving as lead databasedeveloper for CONNECTIONS ancillary applications like AIMS CCWIS DXDynamics CRM FHARM OCS RFI.
  • Serving as leaddatabase developer to develop and maintain highly complex databasepackages for data exchange with applicable intraagency andinteragency legacy applications.
  • Investigatingand troubleshooting Production data issues and code appropriatedata fixes.
  • Creating and tracking ITSMrequests coordinating with the central DBA Team for rollout ofBuildrelated database changes.
  • Supportingparallel development and testing of multiple Application Builds bymaintaining the integrity of corresponding developmentdatabases.
  • Supporting CONNECTIONS Trainingdatabases liaising with CONNECTIONS TrainingCoordinator.
  • Supporting CONNECTIONS Batchdevelopment and support team with database coding.
  • Supporting CONNECTIONS nightly Audit process.
  • Catering to CONNECTIONS Audit data requests fromOCFS.
  • Assisting Data Warehouse Team sharingrelevant CONNECTIONS database changes having Data Warehouseimpact.
  • Mentoring developers in the effectiveuse of performanceoptimized SQLs.
  • Performingreviews of other developers database code to ensure CONNECTIONSdatabase coding standards are adhered to.
  • Assisting Testing Team with creating testdata.
  • Developing appropriate systemdocumentation.

MandatoryRequirements

  • Experience (10 Years)
  • Develops and implements applications and programs for thebackend processing systems used in businesses andorganizations.

Requirements

  • This is an 100% Onsite
  • 84 months ofexperience writing packages SQL PL/SQL stored procedures functionstriggers in minimum version of Oracle 11g or higher.
  • 84 months of experience performing Oracle databaseadministration activities in a production database environmentcontaining online and batch environments including performancetuning maintaining the architecture processes and database objectsof an Oracle database Server in minimum version of Oracle 11g orhigher.
  • 84 months of experience developing andmaintaining applications in Oracles Application Express(APEX).
  • 84 months experience with OracleDatabase Express Edition (XE) inhouse database administration taskslike create schema manage privileges etc.
  • 84months experience working with project staff (both program andtechnical staff) providing database support in the development ofntiered clientserver/web applications based on defined technicaldesigns.
  • 84 months experience in performingknowledge transfers to coworkers of Oracle database developertechniques supporting the development of database structure for newapplication designs and/or enhancements to existing applicationdesigns.
  • 84 months experience creating andmaintaining PERL scripts.
  • 24 months ofexperience writing Unix/Linux Shell Scripts.
  • 24 months of experience using Microsoft SQLServer.
