Job summary

Kingston Hospital and Hounslow & Richmond Community Health Care NHS Trust are currently undergoing an exciting period of integration and we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic HR professional to join the HR Advisory Team to provide an expert and comprehensive service to our Corporate services but also clinical departments at Kingston hospital as and when required.

Main duties of the job

This role provides advice and guidance to managers on all ER matters as well as some operational HR processes. The role remit also covers policy development, job evaluation, reporting and some exciting service redesign initiatives.

You will have a good grounding in first line employee relations, a coaching style and experience of policy development and will be eager to extend your practice further. Your approach will be pragmatic and progressive and you will be experienced enough to advise on a mixed, varied and complex caseload alongside our Trade Union Partners.

About us

Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a single site, medium sized Hospital, located within Kingston-Upon-Thames in South West London. The Trust provides services to approximately 350,000 people locally from Kingston, Richmond, Wandsworth, Merton, Elmbridge (Surrey) and Sutton. As well as delivering services from the main hospital base, the Trust delivers ambulatory and outpatient services at a range of community locations in partnership with GPs and community providers. The Trust was licensed as a NHS Foundation Trust with effect from 1 May 2013.

Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust cares for more than half a million patients a year, from across Kingston, Richmond, Elmbridge (Surrey), Merton, Wandsworth and Sutton. In 2018, we became the first acute hospital trust in London to be rated "Outstanding" for overall quality and leadership by the national Care Quality Commission regulator.

We have approximately 350 beds and directly employ around 2,900 staff. Our trust provides a full range of diagnostic services and treatment services. Our main site is the Kingston Hospital site but we also run a number of outpatient clinics in the community, including in Raynes Park, Surbiton, Queen Mary's Roehampton and Teddington.

Sufficient recent experience of working in a Human Resources or employee relations setting Generalist HR experience which involves advising managers on all HR issues Experience of handling a range of employee relations issues Experience of using people related information databases

Skills/Abilities

Essential

Knowledge, understanding and application of equal opportunities Demonstrable ability to analyse and interpret data Ability to prioritise and organise a large volume of work with frequently changing priorities and work systematically towards tight deadlines Excellent written skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports and policies.
