Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday 0700-1600
Friday 0700-1500
You'll play a pivotal role in our Quality Team, providing visibility and interface to ensure our operations uphold the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance. Your expertise will be key in safely and efficiently executing complex, high-profile projects.
As the HSE Officer, you will work in collaboration with colleagues and the wider business to facilitate high performance delivery through successful implementation of processes and systems in a sustainable manner. You will deliver high risk audits, providing advice and recommendations of improvement to ensure all responsibilities associated with the Health, Safety and Environment are adhered to. This role is to support the achievement of the overall aims and objectives of department, and strategic aims of the business.
About the role Ensure that the Company is adhering to all relevant Health and Safety legislation that support ISO 18001 Co-ordinate and assist the Management Team with the Company’s Health and Safety Annual PlanSupport and train Managers with the implementation of Risk Assessments Support and train team members and other staff in using the relevant FLT’s, cranes and handling equipment to ensure safe working practicesCo-ordinate accident investigation, record and graph all accident data and to use the data to promote a no accident environment and cultureMonitor and amend the OHS Policy to ensure that the stated commitments are undertaken and the results passed to Senior Management and are actionedEnsure provision of occupational health & safety data for equipment and products used within the businessEnsure adequate First-Aid provisions are made and accident investigation/recording and reporting requirements are metEnsure Emergency Plans and Evacuations are developed and practicedProvide written/pictorial guidance to communicate company policies and procedures to all personsLiaise with the enforcing authorities to ensure compliance with fire, occupational health, safety and welfare legislation as is necessary
About you
NEBOSH QualificationPTLLS QualificationPrevious Health & Safety knowledge and experience along with FLT / Noise / COSHH Knowledge of Safe Lifting & Slinging requirementsA flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirementsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levelsAbility to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to othersStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideasCompany Benefits
