Responsibilities

At Expleo, our Electronics Engineers:Translate our customers‘ vision into clear and concise user, business, and product requirementsUse industry standard methods to develop product architectures. Decomposing the problem into digestible functional, physical and behavioural chunksDesign, Build, Commission & Debug world-class hardware solutionsBuild and coordinate simulations to help us to validate requirements earlyWork collaboratively with all our engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage case studies and resolve engineering issuesIn addition to project responsibility, you will play a key role in developing our electronics/hardware engineering capability more widely

Qualifications

Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline A lower qualification would be acceptable . HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu Incorporated or Chartered Engineer or have evidence of progress towards Professional Registration with a PEI

Collaborate - actively build relationship across functional divides

Desired Skills

Hardware design, systems integration, test development, design for manufacture and layout experience would be desirable on Mentor design suite, DO254 or similar military spec ideally, multilayer, EMC, following formal design methodology etc Use of CAD tool such as the Siemens Mentor tool set or similar Requirement Definition & Management using IBM DOORS or similar Simulation or emulation packages such as Simetrix Design Analysis Multi-layer PCB layout Design for EMC and environmental test

Experience

At least 5 years’ experience in Hardware design. From a Defence, Marine, Aerospace background Able to obtain UK security clearance

What do I need before I apply

Must have a Valid SC Clearance  UK National Only Willingness to work 3 days per week onsite in Rochester
