The Makeit Good Company is excited to partner with an awardwinningcuttingedge (mediumsized) creative agency in the search for aScript Writer for a weekly TV talkshow/podcast that focuses on theworld of sports. This platform embraces a diverse range of sportsdelving into both established league highlights and burgeoningathletic movements. Additionally it features a segment devoted tosports betting complemented by the frequent presence of renownedathletes and sports figures.

Responsibilities:

• The writer will collaborate with the team in awriters' room on Wednesday mornings followed by writing ascript due by COB Wednesday. Adjustments to the scripts will bemade on Thursday mornings followed by collaboration with thecontent director and hosts in the afternoon to prepare for theshow.
• Over and above this there will be arequirement for the writer to write various editorial articles forSmash Sports on a regular basis.
• Researchthoroughly to stay updated on sports developments including gameoutcomes player updates and industry changes.
• Write engaging accurate and enjoyable scripts for weeklytalks interviews and special sections including those about sportsbetting.
• Work closely with hosts producers andteammates to shape content and react to the latest sportsnews.
• Come up with creative ideas for showsections and guest features that attract a diverse sports fan baseand enhance their viewing experience.
• Makesure all content meets high standards for integrity andquality.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in sports journalism orcontent creation shown by a strong portfolio demonstrating yourability to captivate and inform audiences.
• Wideranging knowledge of various sports including majorleagues and niche interests with an understanding of key dynamicsand personalities.
• Has experience on writingscripts for TV productions.
• Able to producehighquality content within tight deadlines typical for weeklyshows.
• Understand sports betting
• Excellent research writing and editing skills with aknack for opinionated yet factual storytelling.
• A keen sense of humor that adds depth to content whilemaintaining its seriousness.
• Understanding ofthe sports betting scene with the ability to discuss odds andbetting strategies clearly and intelligently.
