Factory Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for an engineer and general maintenance person, who will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of approximately 40 bespoke string winding machines and a number of ad-hoc duties around the building. A forklift truck license would be an asset.

General workshop experience and tool room knowledge is vital, as is the operating of lathes, milling machines and grinders for the fabrication of machine parts and preventative breakdown work.Experience of electronics with drive systems and automation would be of benefit too.

It would be preferred although not essential, for candidates to have an HNC/D or similar qualification in mechanical and production engineering.

This positions are permanent and full time. 40 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.45pm. 15-minute morning and afternoon tea breaks and 45-minute lunch. 28 days’ holiday per annum inclusive of public and bank holidays.

The Rotosound factory is located in the market town of Sevenoaks in Kent. The factory is a 10-minute walk from Sevenoaks train station and a 10-minute drive from the M25 and M26. On-site parking is available.
