Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist post to work within the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service (EHWS), within Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust.

The EHWS support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, within the 'Getting Advice' and 'Getting Help' quadrants of the Thrive Framework, working closely with schools and colleges.

This post will be based within the Oaktree Centre in Huntingdon, but the service covers Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Norfolk and Waveney.

Main duties of the job

To work closely with the Psychologists and other clinicians within the service, in order to support the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people.

The post holder will support with audits, research, data analysis and evaluations. Furthermore, they will lead on small projects to support service development.

The post holder will also work clinically with children and young people and their families, as well as school staff.

The post holder will gain experience in delivering cognitive behaviour therapy informed guided self help, as well as other group based interventions.

Please note, the post holder must be able to travel long distances across the 2 counties, often at short notice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Communication

1. Research & Development Activity

1. Undertaking R&D activities under the supervision of responsible Psychologist or To assist in clinically related administration, conduct audits, collection of statistics, and development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project To undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research to assist Psychologists in evidence based practice in individual work and work with other team members.

Clinical and Practice Governance

1.
