Role

OQC are currently looking for a talented Quantum Engineer to join our Research and Development team which currently stands at 11 talented members of staff. You will contribute to the development of OQC’s hardware efficient quantum error detection architecture. The team's focus is around inception, design and measurement of novel qubits, gates and coupling. You will assist in the design, simulation, measurement and characterisation of novel superconducting hardware platforms for quantum error correction. This role is purely R&D, therefore you will not be required to work on the deployed systems or existing hardware technologies. 

Skills + experience

  • Relevant PhD or postdoc in physics
  • Experience in the field of superconducting circuits for quantum computing
  • Design and simulation of superconducting qubits
  • Experimental design and measurement/characterisation of superconducting qubits
  • Record of publishing scientific papers
  • Experience in numerical and analytical modelling of quantum circuits
