Position Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in supporting schools by covering lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. This flexible role allows you to work across a variety of subjects and year groups, gaining valuable experience and making a positive impact on the learning experience of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising pre-planned lessons and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Managing classroom behavior and maintaining discipline in line with school policies
  • Providing support to students with their learning and understanding of lesson materials
  • Liaising with teaching staff and following lesson plans and instructions provided
  • Adapting to different teaching styles and approaches as required

Requirements:

  • Confidence and resilience to manage a classroom environment effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in different schools and adapt to varying environments
  • A passion for education and a desire to support the learning and development of young people
  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is advantageous but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
