Job Description

Working within a dynamic multi-asset Trading team, the primary role will involve the execution of Fixed Income cash products in the form of Government and Corporate bonds. In time, expand expertise to the other asset classes dealt by the team across broader Fixed Income to cover the full range of assets with confidence.What you'll be doing: Managing and monitoring the execution of orders ensuring everything is in line with regulatory standards, LGIM’s policies, procedures, and risk management practices at all times Providing investment teams with market commentary, daily feedback where necessary and advice on traded/open positions Assisting other traders as necessary Building and develop strong relationships with counterparties Working with our Trading Research team to analyse, process and interpret large trading data sets to improve client outcomes Assisting with general and specific technology initiatives including system upgrades Achieving competency in all instruments traded by the desk over time Being aware of the Consumer Duty regulation, considering client interests at all times whilst carrying out the job in order to ensure the delivery of good customer outcomes Personally practice LGIM cultural values and behaviours, ensuring the maintenance of a true OneLGIM culture and helping make LGIM a business that all can be proud to work for and would recommend to other QualificationsWho we're looking for: A strong academic background, degree educated Attention to detail and a strong risk management mindset that manifests itself in double-checking work, frequent reconciliation and stopping to question anything unusual. An interest and understanding of financial markets. Some markets facing experience preferred (product, distribution or funds etc..) Strong analytical skills. Quantitative and programming skills would be additive. Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative team-based environment.
