Will you be our next HQ Volunteering Manager?

Responsible to: Head of Volunteering Services 

Department : Volunteering Operations Department

Base Location: Gilwell Park or Homebased

If Gilwell based contract, the expectation would be to come into the office once a week, plus one day a month for collaboration with wider team

If home based contract, then expectation is once every 4-6 weeks.

Term: Permanent

Salary: Grade F - £39,560 per annum (Gilwell based, inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

Salary: Grade F - £37,800 per annum (Homebased) 

Hours: 35 hours per week - Evening work expected a few evenings per month.

About the role

The Volunteering Services team are at the heart of our support for volunteers across the movement for key services including the support centre, awards, grants, events & contingents and the team this role leads to support our HQ volunteers.

The team is a great mix of different functions so you can learn more about each of these and how we work together, and you’ll have a role is supporting the UK Leadership team to help recruit, induction and support the future volunteer leaders of the organisation.

This role provides an opportunity to support key volunteer line managers with the recruitment, induction, training and recognition of volunteers at HQ. You’ll work closely with the UK Volunteer Support Team to develop our systems, processes and guidance to ensure they are smooth and as welcoming as possible.

You'll be Joining a positive, supportive, collaborative team who really enjoy working together and are committed to making the team a great one to work in for all our staff and volunteer colleagues.
