About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position for a Learning & Development Support Officer in the Children’s Service Workforce Development Team based at Number 1 Riverside.

This is an opportunity that will put you at the centre of the Service’s practice Improvement journey, where you will be responsible for:

Supporting the planning, development, advertising, delivery and evaluation of all of the Service’s learning development programmes.

Providing day-day management of face-face and online events.

Managing communications between the team and Service

Commissioning training, Supporting training providers navigate the GM Procurement system, assist in the procurement bid process & conduct IR35 checks and support self employed checks

Co-ordinating vocational qualifications & mandatory specialist programmes,

Supporting the coordinate of large Service events

Providing a range of financial tasks; from managing invoices to monitoring and maintaining team budgets and grants

Supporting wider practice improvement activities; including reporting on engagement with training, conducting evaluations, supporting inspection/ peer reviews and analysis of staff survey,

Updating and maintain the team website and other digital communications

Managing and cleansing staff and course data to run reports for Service.

Providing digital learning support, including helping officers develop eLearning packages

Manage the work of business support colleagues who may either be permanently or periodically be attached to the team.
