As a rotomoulding factory Supervisor, you will oversee the production process of plastic rotationalmoulding, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You will manage a team ofoperators, coordinate workflow, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain machinery to ensureoptimal performance. Your role involves scheduling production runs, conducting quality checks, andimplementing process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.

What you'll do

Supervise Production: Lead and supervise the plastic rotational moulding and post-foaming production processes, including machine operation, material handling, and product finishing, to meet production targets and quality standards. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and efficient workforce. Workflow Coordination: Coordinate production schedules, material availability, and manpower allocation to optimise workflow and meet customer demands in a timely manner. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet specifications and customer requirements. Implement corrective actions when deviations occur to maintain high product quality. Machine Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of rotational moulding machinery, ensuring equipment is properly serviced to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct regular safety audits and provide training on safe operating practices. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and waste minimisation. Implement changes to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and enhance overall productivity. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including inventory levels, production output, and quality control data. Generate reports on key performance indicators to track departmental performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration: Liaise with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to resolve issues, implement changes, and ensure seamless production operations.

What you'll need

Proven experience in plastic rotational moulding operations, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong technical knowledge of rotational moulding processes, equipment, and materials. Experience of polyurethane (PU) foaming is desirable but not essential. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Solid understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting technical issues. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
