The Role

Recent investment from North Lanarkshire Health and Social care has created a new rare and exciting opportunity within the AHP Care Home Liaison Team. The team provide a holistic, person centered and multi-professional approach to advice and support for care homes across NHS Lanarkshire.
Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy have a key role in rehabilitation, including targeted falls prevention and the promotion of meaningful activity to maximise health, wellbeing and personal independence.
The team are currently working on initiatives and service development work streams to improve the quality of the service provision within this sector. This investment will allow us to Increase the workforce to allow timely increased multi-focus support of falls management to help the earlier identification of modifiable risk factors. 
With appropriate training and support, the expected duties will involve providing advice and continued support to care homes and the post holder will play a key role in initiatives that aim to increase activity levels and reduce risk of falls in the care homes setting.

What we'll need you to bring

Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration

Educated to / working towards / operating at Degree Level

Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety , effectively and efficiently 

Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice 

Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions , pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality / area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice

Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery

Further education / evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days / courses / post graduate qualification

The post holder will possess excellent team working / leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative

Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills

Effective time management skills

Working knowledge of basic information technology

Membership of relevant special interest group

Multi-disciplinary working

Research and audit

Experience or interest in specialist area as detailed in role profile for this post
