The Role:

Underwriting Support Administrator (Entry Level)

Our very busy, friendly and successful Underwriting Support team are on the lookout for a dynamic and organised individual to join their growing team in Wolverhampton. Relevant experience is not essential, but the ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in a career within the insurance sector. 

This is a very varied role where you will be required to provide support and administration along with providing agreed levels of customer service to brokers and colleagues and develop a broad understanding of commercial underwriting.

Responsibilities: 

Preparing New Business enquiries prior to submission to underwriters Reviewing completed quotation requests and providing feedback to brokers and underwriters as necessary Liaising with brokers in terms of coverage and pricing Dealing with background checks, payment by instalment enquiries, updating policies records Assisting with claims enquiries Answering phone calls and assisting with enquiries Carrying out Sanction Search checks Managing own workload of New and Existing Business cases as well as mid-term adjustments subject to agreed levels of authority Assisting with general administration as required Adherence to compliance and regulatory procedures

Experience:

Proficient in Word and Excel. You will have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, coupled with excellent time management. You will be highly organised and have the ability to work under pressure, adapt and be flexible in approach. You will have excellent communication skills which includes verbal, written, listening and negotiation, having the ability to communicate at all levels.  You will be adept at problem-solving in a varied and often fast paced environment.
