Long-Term Teachers support a fantastic school who supports students aged 3 - 19 with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Ofsted rated ‘good’ with outstanding features, this is a fantastic place to work and you will be supported by an incredibly hard-working and cohesive staff team. Our school is seeking talented, experienced, bubbly and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team.


 

With an adapted curriculum, no two days are the same. They have fantastic provisions such as a forest school, woodland walk, bike trail, swimming pool and much more If you are an outgoing person who loves the outdoors, this is certainly a place you will love to work


 

Responsibilities:


 

  • Delivering whole class cover during the absence of the class teacher or during PPA cover
  • Support the teacher in personalising the curriculum to allow the students to thrive
  • Support the teacher with planning of future lessons
  • Implement the schools policies and procedures, including safeguarding the students
  • Establish and maintain and enjoyable and safe learning environment
  • Engage students in their lessons and foster a love for learning 


 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support a diverse range of needs. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a team. Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting young people is essential. You will have a Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools, Level 4 Diploma in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualifications in nursery work or childcare.
