The successful candidate will have a passion for helping students to develop their talent and confidence in music The peripatetic tutor will teach groups/ individual students at all levels and prepare them for practical exams where appropriate, ensuring to cover all elements of the exams process. It is desirable that our successful candidate can teach beginner and intermediate piano.

We also expect peripatetic tutors to take responsibility for student registers, tracking/reporting progress and supporting students in achieving targets that are set out each term. The role will naturally include administrative duties, therefore, please consult the job description for a full list of responsibilities.

This is a self-employed role. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis so early applications are encouraged.

About Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2024, our Trust comprises 33 geographically organised academies (17 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating more than 24,000 students and employing 4,000 talented staff.
