About us

Advanced Care (NI) is one of Northern Ireland's fastest growing social care providers, with over 10 years of experience providing care to service users in their homes, and working with various charities and non-profits across the region.

Due to rapid growth we are looking for care assistants to join our Derry team to work closely with our service users to ensure the successful delivery of care and support service across Derry.

 About the Role

The successful candidate will be a positive, disciplined and caring person who puts the needs of their service user first. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be dealing with healthcare professionals, service users and their families.

Both full-time and part-time hours are available, from 20 to 45 hours, including evenings and weekends. Night shifts are also available.

About The Role

The role of the Care Assistant includes:

  • Personal Care - Providing personal care to service users in their own homes

  • Companionship - Providing companionship for service users in their homes

  • Support - Support with day to day activities e.g. Shopping, cooking, laundry

  • Medication - Ensuring that service users are prompted to take scheduled medication

  • Record Keeping - Full and accurate record keeping at all times

Domiciliary Care: Care assistants provide personalized support to clients in their own homes, enabling them to live independently while maintaining daily routines. Supported Living: The organization supports individuals in supported living environments, focusing on promoting independence while offering guidance and support. Companionship: This service can be provided in clients' homes or other settings and involves care assistants offering company and emotional support.
