Main duties of the job

Toproactively develop relationships with FedNet clinicians, staff and providersof Primary Care within Waltham Forest.

In collaboration with the MedicalDirector and Senior Service Manager establish clear goals and standards for theANPs, Nurses and HCAs to maintain and improve the quality of care/support.

Contributetowards the development of Nursing-led services when required.

The Post Holder will:

Be professionally accountable and responsible for allaspects of their work. Be a registered General Nurse with recent primary care experience Be competent as appropriate to the requirements of therole. Have supervisory, training and leadershipresponsibilities where appropriate and will have some responsibility for ANPs,Nurses and HCAs performance and service developments/improvements. Demonstrate initiative and be creative in findingsolutions to problems. Work with theMedical Director and Senior Service Manager to undertake delegated tasks in theANPs, Nurses and HCAs management. Have a high level of clinicalexpertise and leadership skills to give support and supervision to the ANPs,Nurses and HCAs as a clinician and a leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Leadership/Supervision:

Playa key part in the relevant groups and committees. Toprovide a written report/presentation to the board when requested. To maintain and develop skills and knowledge to deliver arange of interventions and set an example of good practice to other ANPs,Nurses and HCA members including skill sharing. Ensures the Nursing workforce receives appropriateteaching/training in specialist areas as and when appropriate. Provide 1:1 and group educational sessions to ensurecompetencies are maintained for the defined ANPs, Nurses and HCAs. To provide, receive and encourageregular supervision to support the continuous professional development of selfand others. Maintains a high standard of evidence-basedpractice. To contribute to the process ofinduction for new ANPs, Nurses and HCA members and other disciplines, asappropriate. Work with the FedNetMedical Director and Senior Service manager to develop new services andenhance existing ones.

Communication

Combine Clinical andManagerial knowledge and expertise to manage the bank ANPs, Nurses andHCAs. Deal with complaints relatingto Nurse Led Services Ensure correct PGDs/PSDsare in place Session planning Advice on additional Nursing Services, Flu, etc. Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communication styles, to ensure patients are fully informed and consent to treatment Communicate effectively with patients andcarers, recognising the need for alternative methods of communication toovercome different levels of understanding, cultural backgrounds and preferredways of communicating Liaise with all relevant internal and externalcolleagues including Clinical Leads, Senior Management Team, CQC, Safeguarding teamand NHS England.

Delivering a quality service

To demonstrate competence in the full set ofclinical nursing skills and knowledge required for this role. Maintains ownclinical practice standards by participating regularly in the delivery ofpatient care. Recognise and work within own competence andprofessional code of conduct as regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council(NMC). To ensure that the bank of ANPs, Nurses and HCAsis fully compliant with mandatory E-Learning and Face-to-face training. Oversee Nursing staff Recruitment/Ensureshortlisted candidates are appropriate and attend interviews. Chair Quarterly Nurse Meetings. Clinical Governance. Perform Clinical Audits. Work with GP Hubs to ensure they are CQC compliant. Work within policies relating to domesticviolence, vulnerable adults, substance abuse and addictive behaviour and referas appropriate. Qualifications

Essential

General Registered nurse Evidence of other post-registration education and training Evidence of personal development Masters Degree or evidence of working at the equivalent level Leadership Qualification / or evidence of practical application at this level

Experience

Essential

Commitment to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Able to deliver core service requirements Experience in managing, planning and completing projects Experience in initiating, leading and managing change Experience in performance management Experience of collaborative and partnership working Experience in implementing protocols and clinical guidelines Experience with quality initiatives such as clinical benchmarking.

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines Able to communicate highly complex, sensitive information Excellent experience in the regulatory framework and achieving compliance Experience in addressing issues of non-compliance within areas of responsibility Evidence of ongoing and relevant personal and professional training and development.
