About you:

The post holder will ensure the safety and enjoyment of centre users and partake in the management of all aspects of daily activities in the centre. Providing a warm, friendly, professional atmosphere and high standard of customer care at all times. To assist the Duty Manager with the daily activities programme, setting up equipment, to help maintain the centre in a clean, tidy, pleasant environment to work in along with other duties to meet the needs of the centre

About the role:

Responsibilities include:

To work as part of a team to ensure all facilities are presented to the highest levels of cleanliness. To ensure a warm friendly & professional atmosphere and high standard of customer care at all times in order to generate customer loyalty. To assist the Duty Manager with the daily activities programme & setting up equipment. To assist the Duty Manager on the effective control & security of the facility, patrolling all appropriate areas ensuring equipment is stored safely & securely. To be aware of all Health & Safety issues within the centre, to constantly implement & assess the practises and draw attention to any unsafe practises. To receive telephone, written & personal bookings & payments for use of the centres facilities. To ensure cash handling & reconciliation of monies is carried out. To operate the public address systems, telephones & computer booking system. To help maintain the centre in a clean, tidy and pleasant environment in which to work. To undertake any other duties as may be required to assist in the running of the centre. To undertake other such duties consistent with the nature of the post and grade as required by the Service Lead, whilst working to support the brand narrative of Exeter’s place based brand ‘Exeter Live Better’.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your own skill sets as you will receive training for your own specific role as recreation assistant as well as help and support to progress down many different pathways within leisure.
