Main duties of the job

Thesuccessful candidate will need to be Registered as a Physiotherapist with theHealth and Care Professional Council (HCPC) with a minimum of three yearsmusculoskeletal experience.

The role:

This job advertreflects several role opportunities within Dorking Healthcare PhysiotherapyTeam and we are willing to discuss either one or a combination of roles to suityour skills and career development.

If you areinterested in the FCP role at Pond Tail Surgery you will need to have completedthe HEE Roadmap To Practice stages one and two.

The Physiotherapy Outpatient role involves providing a high standard of physiotherapy service to musculoskeletaloutpatients referred by DHC consultants. Conditions will include a wide varietyof musculoskeletal conditions including post-operative orthopaedics, arthriticconditions, and patients presenting with acute, chronic and or complex spinalpain.

DHC are developing aChronic Fatigue/Long Covid service to our community based on evidence basedmulti-disciplinary team clinics led by a GP specialist in respiratory care. Weare looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist with excellent communication skillsand an interest in rehabilitation and pacing.

This roleis a permanent role, full or part time will be considered with flexibility ofthe role between primary care and Outpatient services.

MSK Physiotherapist

Consultant referral physiotherapy treatment service

Job Purpose:

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy service to musculoskeletal outpatients referred by DHC consultants. Conditions will include a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including post-operative orthopaedics, arthritic conditions, and patients presenting with acute, chronic and or complex spinal pain.

Physiotherapist (CFS/ME)

To provide highly specialist care to individuals attending the Chronic Fatigue / Myalgic Encephalopathy service. You will work alongside other specialists in the team.

Job Purpose:

1. Deliver programmes of supported patient self-management, in ways that facilitate behavioural change, optimise individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfilment of personal goals and independence.

2. To participate in the departments ongoing audit and appropriate work-related research/ evaluation projects in areas relevant to the clinical field.

FCP Physiotherapist

This is a mixed primary and secondary care role working across:

First Contact Physiotherapy in Primary care

Job Purpose:

1. Provide clinical expertise, acting as first-contact physiotherapist and making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care (including in relation to undifferentiated conditions). This will involve seeing patients, without prior contact with their GP, in order to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan.

2. Progress and request investigations to facilitate diagnosis and choice of treatment regime, understanding the information limitations derived from these and the relative sensitivity and specificity of particular tests diagnostic services such as x-rays and blood test, and interpret and act on results to aid diagnosis and the management plans of patients.

3. Deliver programmes of supported patient self-management, in ways that facilitate behavioural change, optimise individuals' physical activity, mobility, fulfilment of personal goals and independence, and that minimise the need for pharmacological interventions.

4. To participate in the departments ongoing audit and appropriate work-related research/ evaluation projects in areas relevant to the clinical field.
