We’re looking for a Technical Manager to join our Business Development team, leading the development of technical and sustainability proposals for new tenders

How will you help us transform the wellbeing of communities?
- Analysing Building and Asset Condition Surveys to develop both short- and long-term asset management plans. This includes lifecycle planning, forecasting maintenance needs, and scheduling repairs for sports and leisure facilities.
- Conducting site visits to assess the condition of buildings and equipment, and then creating detailed, costed asset management plans for everything from the building’s structure to its equipment.
- Identifying opportunities to improve environmental performance, such as decarbonisation efforts and energy-saving initiatives.
- Reviewing tender requirements and putting together well-researched, costed and written proposals that support bids for new leisure contracts.
- Manage positive working relationships with technical and sustainability partners.
- Presenting your findings and recommendations on technical and sustainability improvements to the Board as part of our as part of our internal approvals process.
- Supporting and attending negotiation meetings with Councils and presenting technical and sustainability proposals based on our bid submission.
What do you need?
- Proven experience in technical management, ideally with expertise in pool plant systems and up-to-date knowledge of current requirements.
- Relevant technical or building services qualification.
- Full driving licence and a willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
- Strong ICT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, CAFM, and BMS systems.
- Solid qualifications in Maths and English, with the ability to work confidently with spreadsheets, write reports, and develop method statements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence and professionalism to present at meetings, including to the Board and Council Members.
