Main duties of the job

You will beresponsible for administrative functions in the office including but notlimited to:

Greeting andnavigating patients to the appropriate Health Care Professional.

To act ascentral point of contact for patients, the distribution of information,messages and enquiries for the clinical team.

Scanning ofletters and results into computer.

Full trainingis available for the successful candidate.

The position is full-time hours per week.

Job responsibilities

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrativeduties and the provision of general support to the practices' multidisciplinaryteam.

Dutiescan include, but are not limited to, signposting patients to the appropriatehealthcare professional or service, effective use of the appointment system,the processing of information and assisting patients as required, alwaysdelivering a polite and professional service

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

Experience of working with the public in a customer service environment. A clear, polite telephone manner and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Desirable

Experience of working in a primary care environment is advantageous.

Qualifications

Essential

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Customer Service qualification (NVQ) or equivalent.

Desirable

Active signposting or Care Navigator training qualification. Healthcare qualification (level 2) or working towards gaining equivalent level.
